TARGET AUDIENCE & PURPOSE

Microsoft Visio is a specialised Drawing package which creates professional Flowcharts, Organisation Charts, Floor Plans and many other drawings. People who have been attempting these things in Word or PowerPoint would greatly benefit from this course.

PREREQUISITES

Participants should already be competent in using a mouse and keyboard and have an understanding of Windows.

Exploring Microsoft Visio
Work with Visio, Start Visio, Use the Interface, Work with Categories, Use Visio Windows, Use Menu Commands, Display & Hide Toolbars, Change Menu & Toolbar Options, Use the Task Pane, Close a Drawing, Exit Visio

Use Basic Drawing Skills
Create a New Drawing, Work with Stencils, Add Shapes to a Drawing, Save a New Drawing, Create a Blank Drawing, Open an Existing Drawing, Add/Delete Pages in a Drawing, Rename an Existing Drawing, Create Drawings with Wizards

Work with Shapes
Use Shapes, Select a Shape, Move Shapes, Copy/Paste Shapes, Stamp Shapes, Size Shapes, Delete Shapes, Adjust Shapes, Rotate Shapes

Work with Text
Work with Text Blocks, Add Text to Shapes, Add Freestanding Text, Edit Text, Move/Copy/Paste Text, Move a Text Block, Resize a Text Block, Format Text, Change Text Margins, Use Tabs with Text, Move & Delete Tab Stops, Create Bulleted Lists
