Forrest Training Newsletter: Quarter 1 - 2010
Life Balance?
With our lifestyle an integral part of our existence, we all seek a life balance between health, family and work (not always in that order).
We are constantly being bombarded with requests from all areas. Therefore we must learn to prioritise if we are to survive. In a constantly changing world we need to adapt to the situation at hand to keep up. So what can we do to make sure we do not go into overload?
Especially, with the excitement of the New Year, many of us set goals with high expectations that are not genuinely achievable.
It is best to focus on small steps. Consider working on a short-term goal from each area.
- Plan some exercise each week to improve your health.
- Spend more time at home with the family.
- At work, start and finish each task allocated.
With achievement we get the belief that we have succeeded in moving forward! It’s a GREAT feeling!
Education: -
The last thing considered but the first thing that’s needed!
A friend of mine once noted the above statement. Based on the years I have been in the training game, I continue to be astounded by the lack of commitment organisations express to avoid this trap.
We closely monitor local business. We have noticed the landscape is continuing to transform with organisations looking for new ways to improve efficiencies. This brings us back to the need to educate our human resources with the new tools to manage the new opportunities.
It is clear that those clients that commenced the staff skill build in 2009 are ahead of their competitors. And as more robust 2010 unfolds these clients will find themselves well ahead of those now seeking skilled resources.
EXCLUSIVE OFFER

Planning for great results in 2010!
With a difficult year now behind us, you have the opportunity to set a goal, plan and execute it with clear guidelines.
Taking control of your available resources and harnessing their current skills puts you in great step to provide staff with the tools to reach the goals.
Individuals require business tools that include information technology and professional development in order to provide solutions to clients, work with partners and associates to deliver your products and services.
We have had many clients contact us seeking to get organised early in the year. They want to focus their team so that they are on track to meet the organisation’s goals.
We are able to meet and discuss your needs – remember we offer a free consultation to assist you with defining your requirements. Our pre assessment tools provide an accurate breakdown of existing skills so that you know what training is actually required.
