Forrest Training Newsletter: November 2011 - February 2012
MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 AND OFFICE 2010 COMING TO A SCREEN NEAR YOU!
We are experiencing a surge of activity in providing clients across Australia with a mix of upgrading from Windows XP and Office 2003, as they move to the current versions available.
Our standard upgrade courses cover the new features in Office 2010 from Office 2003. We include a session on the "Ribbon". It addresses the new look and feel enabling participants to become more efficient in locating the features utilised in previous versions.
Full courses are available in all Office 2010 applications. These cover Introduction to Advanced level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio and Project 2010.
Customised training options With private courses you have the option to customise the course content to meet your specific needs. Many clients have included Windows 7, the Ribbon with Word and Excel 2010, others include Outlook.
You have the option of "hands on" sessions – at client's sites or in our training centre. Another option is seminar style briefings demonstrating the New Features.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEWS
We've had many enquiries for our new courses. The main drivers are change management and the impact of new IT systems, as staff need to adapt, communicate with each other and keep operations running smoothly. It is critical that there is minimal business interruption through such changes.
This is where great training can help!
TECHNICAL TRAINING
If you are planning training for staff, why not call us to discuss your options?
We have Microsoft SQL and Windows Server courses running regularly, with low enrolments – small class sizes offer greater contact for participants.
During the quieter business period, why not take the opportunity to get your staff skilled up?
CHRISTMAS BREAK
We will be closed from December 16 (last day) and will return January 10, 2012.
If you are planning training over that period let us know in advance so we can discuss options to assist.
GET THE BASICS RIGHT
With a lot of anxiety being felt in many sectors of the economy, it's more important than ever that businesses get all their staff working to their maximum potential.
By ensuring your people have both the core technology and interpersonal skills to perform at their best. This will create a more engaged and happier workforce who are more likely to achieve their objectives.
Organisations with a commitment to quality leadership and building effective teams are more likely to prosper, and good communication is at the core of this. Valuing each person's role in the big picture creates the respect we can benefit from. Obviously, a team working together will usually perform better than that of a strong individual performance.
Clearly the goal for business is to provide staff with the appropriate skills to perform. This creates ideal conditions for a positive environment that leads to the meeting of objectives.
If you would like to discuss a leadership or team skills training program for your organisation, we are happy to offer a free confidential consultation.
Just call us to arrange a time.
